Denver to Recommend Distinguished Team for City Park Golf Course Redesign

Today City and County of Denver staff announced the team recommended to lead the City Park Golf Course Redesign and construction project:
• Saunders Construction with Aspen Corporation
• Golf course architect/designer iConGolf Studio with golf design advisor Hale Irwin
• Clubhouse Architect Johnson Nathan Strohe
The recommendation will now be considered by Denver City Council and follows a collaborative nine-month selection process driven by a panel of city staff and community representatives, as well as golf and technical experts.

Safe Occupancy Program Unanimously Approved by City Council

The Safe Occupancy Program, approved unanimously by council this week, is designed to incentivize owners and tenants of these unpermitted spaces to come forward and work with the city to make their buildings safe for occupants and the public.

Personal Information Needs More Protection in 311 System

When the Auditor's Office discovered that Personally Identifiable Information (PII) was visible in the 311 database to more City employees than the Technology Services department realized, Auditor Timothy M. O'Brien, CPA, initiated an audit. Auditors found that monitoring of vendor performance should be improved to ensure protection of such information.

Denver Arts and Venues Accepting Nominations for Mayor's Awards for Excellence in Arts and Culture

In the spirit of IMAGINE 2020 – Denver’s Cultural Plan, Mayor Michael B. Hancock will recognize individuals and organizations that make significant and lasting contributions to the artistic, cultural and creative landscape in the City and County of Denver. The awards will be announced in November.
